Light Till Dark – Fantastic Film Festival celebrates and showcases genre films. The festival is being held for the fifth time on 7–10 April 2027 at Bio Roxy in Örebro.
The festival pass grants access to all film screenings and seminars during the festival, and you’ll be able to book free tickets for all screenings and program events.
The festival pass also includes entry to the Pizza Mixer on 7 April at Bio Roxy, as well as the closing party on 10 April at Coco Thai.
With the festival pass, you’ll also receive a range of discounts.
This year's Inspo Award is awarded to the Swedish directorial duo Pella Kågerman and Hugo Lilja. The motivation is as follows:
“Pella Kågerman and Hugo Lilja are both brave filmmakers whose partnership has led to innovative and creative films. With award-winning shorts like “Supportern” and “Återfödelsen” they moved on to bigger projects like the space-epos “Aniara” and the alternate world dystopia “Egghead republic”, breaking the mold of swedish filmmaking.”
Pella Kågerman and Hugo Lilja’s latest feature film Egghead Republic will be screened during the festival on March 28 at 16:30 at Bio Roxy, and the directing duo will participate in a talk and Q&A about the film.
The award will be presented to Pella and Hugo during the Light Till Dark festival’s award ceremony on March 28 at 20:45 at Bio Roxy.

Light Till Dark Fantastic Film Festival 2026 kicks off on March 26 with an exclusive preview screening of the acclaimed psychological thriller If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, starring Rose Byrne in the role of her career — a performance that has also earned her an Academy Award nomination. After the film, guests are invited to enjoy pizza and mingle at Bio Roxy.

Light Till Dark Fantastic Film Festival returns in November 2025! This year, we’re focusing on the theme of “editing,” and we’re thrilled to announce that this year’s Inspo Award will be presented to the legendary editor Martin Hunter.
The theme for this year is editing, with a major highlight being an exclusive panel featuring Martin Hunter, the legendary editor behind the masterpiece Full Metal Jacket (1987), which will also be screened during the festival. In addition, another film edited by Martin will be screened: Event Horizon (1997). During the panel, Martin will discuss the editing process behind these films. At the festival’s awards ceremony, Martin Hunter will be honored with the Inspo Award. This is just a taste of what’s to come — more films and program highlights will be announced this fall. Light Till Dark is a unique meeting place for filmmakers and film enthusiasts. The festival has an open and welcoming atmosphere where everyone is invited, whether they have worked in film for years, are just starting their film career, or simply have a passion for film.
